For over eighty years Treasure Mountain Scout Camp has blessed the lives of thousands of Scouts and leaders.
Now, due to a series of unfortunate events, the camp is closed and the US Forest Service will not be renewing
the special use permit for the property.
In a recent meeting the Grand Teton Council’s board of directors voted to decommission the camp and
vacate Teton Canyon. This decision will require us to dismantle most of the buildings and return the
camp to a natural state. As you can imagine, this will require an enormous amount of manual labor.
We have scheduled a series of service days at the camp and are asking for assistance with providing
adult and youth volunteers to help us with this project.
