Akela’s Adventure provides Cub leaders with the opportunity to learn all important aspects of the Cub Scout program while indulging in plenty of Cub Scout fun.
This four-day event incorporates lessons covering everything from organizational information and service projects to awards and advancement, alongside a plethora of hands-on activities ranging from outdoor cooking and balloon-propelled cars to boat races and stomp rockets.
Custom-built for Cub Leaders, this training provides up-to-date Cub Scout information packaged with lots of hands-on ideas for keeping your cubs engaged and involved. Get the most out of this course by accepting the challenge to create five goals (“paw prints”) intended to continue your growth as a leader beyond the end of the course. Best of all, return home excited, energized, and ready to make your den, pack, or district Cub Scout program the best ever.
This event is held at historic Krupp Scout Hollow, nestled in the trees on the outskirts of Rigby, Idaho. Multi-person cabins are available at no extra charge or bring your own hammock, tent, or trailer. Amenities include meals, showering facilities, and a course t-shirt. Whether you’re new to the pack or a seasoned Scouter, we have you covered!
All Akela's Adventure participants must be registered with the BSA, be current with the Youth Protection Training, and have completed Leader Specific Training.
